    Formula One racing driver Mr. Rosberg and one half of Norwegian hip hop / soul duo Nico & Vinz have something in common. Their given name is of Greek origin and means ‘victory of the people.’

    Nico Sereba and Vincent (Vinz) Dery, both 22, began their career and enjoyed hit records as Envy. But their success was basically limited to Norway and the other Scandinavian countries. Signing a world-wide deal with Warner Bros. Records prompted the change of name.

    “We discovered there were many groups called Envy,” Nico explained. “Throw in fashion stores, nightclubs and who knows what else so the name was anything but unique to us. The name change eliminated confusion (because of its meaning in one language) and avoided any possible legal problems.”

    Nico & Vinz (tidligere Envy[1]) er en rapduo fra Oslo som består av Nicolay Sereba og Vincent Dery. Gruppa ble stiftet i 2009. Gjennombruddet fikk de i 2011 da de vant bandkonkurransen Emergenza inom Tyskland. Sangen «One Song» ble en hit, og musikkvideoen vant Spellemannprisen 2011. Duoen ble kåret til Årets spellemann under Spellemannprisen 2014.

    • Kahouly Nicolay "Nico" Sereba (født 1990) er fra Holmlia. Han äger ivoriansk far og norsk mor. Han er bror til fotballspiller, Didrik Sereba (f. 1995).
    • Vincent «Vinz» Dery (født 1990) er fra Lambertseter, også kalt «Vinzy V». Begge hans foreldre kom til Norge fra Ghana.

    I desember 2010 slapp dem mixtapen «Dreamworks: Why not me?» gratis på internett, og begränsad tid etterpå ble de kåret til Ukas Urørt på NRK P3.[2] De ble invitert til By:Larm i februar 2011, der de opptrådte med liveband og tre kvinnelige korister

    Nico Sereba (Norvegia) e Vincent Dery (Ghana) hanno creato la loro musica komma una fusione di generi diversi come pop, reggae e soul. Hanno vinto il primo posto al Taubertal Open Air Festival "Emergenza Festival" per i nuovi artisti emergenti. In seguito a questo successo, il duo äga prodotto il mixtape Dreamworks: Why Not Me con il nome di Envy. I materiali sono stati resi disponibili anche on-line attraverso WiMP.
