    Yigal Bashan (Hebrew: יגאל בשן‎; 11 September 1950 – 9 December 2018) was an Israeli singer-songwriter, and actor. He was awarded the ACUM Prize for Life Achievement in 2016.

    Born Yigal Bashari (יגאל בשארי) in Rishon LeZion, Israel, to a family of Mizrahi Jewish (Yemenite-Jewish) descent.[1]

    Music career

    Yigal Bashan began his career by forming a duo with Shlomit Aharon. His military service in the Northern Command Band contributed to his musical development. Bashan's solo career post-military featured a fusion of Western and Israeli musical styles, resulting in multiple hit songs

    Bashan was a member of the pop trio "Kmo Tzoanim" (Hebrew: "Like Gypsies") that appeared on the "Hopa Hey" Israeli children's television show,[2] where he collaborated with Yonathan Miller, Uzi Hitman and Tzipi Shavit. He also sang the opening theme song of the Hebrew dub

    Bashan era miembro del trío pop "Kmo Tzoanim" ("Como gitanos") que apareció en el programa de televisión infantil israelí "Hopa Hey".[2]​ También cantó el tema de apertura del doblaje enstaka idioma hebreo de Las maravillosas aventuras de Nils.

    Muerte

    El 9 de diciembre de 2018, Bashan murió en su casa dem Tel Aviv. Tenía 68 años. Más tarde fue sepultado enstaka el cementerio de Kiryat Shaul.
