Machiavelli his life and times

  • An exhaustive and comprehensive biography which is written in a lovely style, easy even for non-native speakers to read.
  • As much a portrait of an age as of a uniquely engaging man, Lee's gripping and definitive biography takes the reader into Machiavelli's world –.
  • It is truly a brilliant work of nonfiction, greatly researched and amazingly written.

'A wonderfully assured and utterly riveting biography that captures not only the much-maligned Machiavelli, but also the spirit of his time and place. A monumental achievement.' – Jessie Childs, author of God's Traitors.

Although I have no other titles on the subject to make a comparison I can honestly say that this was a delightful, inte
