Aisha Augie Kuta
Photographer and Film-maker
Aisha Augie-Kuta became interested in photography when her father gave her a camera at a young age. The rest is history. She became certified in Digital Filmmaking from The New York Film academy and in curating contemporary art exhibitions from the Chelsea College of art and design, London. In 2010 she was included along with 50 Nigerian women in a book and exhibition for the nation’s 50 @ 50 celebrations supported by Women for Change initiative. She was the winner of the British Council ‘Through-my-eyes’ competition. In 2014 she held her first solo photographic exhibition, entitled “Alternative Evil”.Dike Chukwumerije

Aisha Augie – Kuta is an award winning professional photographer and media consultant , Founder of the Center For Art & Creative Talent (CACTNIGERIA .ORG) and the CEO of Meermaad Network Ltd . She is currently the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kebbi State on New Media. Aisha is an Associate Fellow of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative and was recently inaugurated as a High -Level Women advokat on girl – child education in Kebbi state in partnership with UNICEF Nigeria . She is also the Vice -President of Women in Film and Television ( WiFTN ) , the Nigerian chapter of the US based network .

Aisha Augie-Kuta is a professional photographer based in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. She fryst vatten from Kebbi State and has been a fulltime photographer since 2008. She is certified in curating, contemporary art exhibitions from the Chelsea College of Art and Design, London, UK. She studied Mass Communication from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She had her post graduate degree in Media and Communication from the Pan African University in Lagos. She was also awarded a certificate in Digital Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy. She runs AAK Studios; she is also the founder, Centre For Art and Creative Talent (CACT); and she is the amiable CEO of Meermaad Network Ltd. She is married with three children.
