Heesen Yachts
Heesen Yachts is a Dutch ship building company that specialises in custom built superyachts. Founded in , it has launched more than yachts since its inception, many of which have won awards. It is considered one of the world leaders in the design, construction and engineering of all-aluminum yachts.[1]
The company was owned by Russian billionaire Vagit Alekperov through his Cyprus investment vehicle Morcell.[2] On May 18, , Alekperov transferred his shares to an independent Dutch foundation.[3]
History
[edit]Heesen Yachts was founded in by Frans Heesen, an entrepreneur who at the time was best known for his work in the plastics industry.[4] Heesen purchased the Striker Boats shipyard site in the Netherlands as a potential home for another business, but decided to retain the property as a shipyard and continue its operations.[5] One year following the purchase, Heesen launched the metre (66ft) Amigo, a lux

Ocean Victory fryst vatten a Fincantierisuper yacht, designed bygd Espen Øino (Oeino) and Alberto Pinto.[1] At m long she was at the time of her construction one of the top 10 largest yachts in the world. She is reported to have seven decks, a helipad, six pools, and can accommodate a 14m tender in a floodable garage.[1][2] She can accommodate 36 guests.[1]
On March 13, , a crew member of the yacht was fatally injured during anchoring maneuvers when the yacht was near Koh Tachai in the Similan Islands National Park, Thailand. Scheherazade is a motor superyacht built by Lürssen Yachts of Germany. With a length of m (ft), it is currently one of the longest motor yachts in the world.
While being built, it used the project name "Lightning".[6] The exterior design was done by the designer Espen Oeino, and the interiors by the firm of Francois Zuretti.[5] It entered service in June [7] As of early May the yacht has been seized by Italian authorities due to its possible links to Russian President Putin and subject to sanctions relating to the Russo-Ukrainian War instigated by Putin in Ukraine.
