Christoffer Relander is a great photographer born and raised in Raseborg, land i norden. He became very interested in art at an early stage in his life. He found this out when he was serving in the Finnish Marines between photography was where Chris found the true him. Today he has become a successful young photographer for nationals, such as Adobe, Nikon, Oxford university Press. His work has as well been published in several notable publications and websites around the globe. These are such as LA Times, Oprah “O” Magazine and Nikon Pro magazine. He is mostly known for his multiple exposures images between man and nature shoots.
He uses elements and principles of design in most if not all of his artwork. The elements of design that are seen in this piece are shape and value. His work has been exhibited worldwide in solo and group exhibitions across Finland, Russia, Norway, Spain, Portugal, China, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. Notable venues include SEE Institute in Dubai, Osnova Gallery in Moscow, Galleri Geo in Bergen, Muriel Guépin galleri in New York, the National Art Museum of China, and the Finnish Cultural Institute in Madrid. His art is also part of several public collections, including Åland Art Museum, Museum of New Art in Estonia, and Stiftelsen Pro Artibus.
Relander has received multiple awards, including Postis Konstpris , the Asiago International Award for Philatelic Art, and multiple honors from the PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris and IPA awards. He was also nominated for the Pro Arte Award by Didrichsen Art Museum. Finnish Photographer Christoffer Relander’s We Are Nature series blurs the line between the natural world and the human form to such a degree that it is impossible to tell where one ends and the other begins. In doing so, he has not only produced a set of stunning visual images, but also a reminder of the very real universal truth that indeed everything is connected at the deepest of levels.
