Während es vergangenen Generationen vorwiegend um Aspekte wie Verfügbarkeit und Geschmack ging, denken wir heute auch über ethische Gesichtspunkte nach. Was löse ich damit aus, wenn ich ein bestimmtes Produkt kaufe? Ist es überhaupt noch vertretbar, alles zu essen, was im Supermarkt angeboten wird? Und wie sehen mögliche Alternativen aus? Gerade der Konsum von Fleisch wird in der öffentlichen Diskussion immer stärker thematisiert. Sowohl das Töten von Tieren, die Frage nach der artgerechten Haltung als auch die Auswirkungen von Nutztierhaltung auf die Umwelt treten immer stärker in unser Bewusstsein.
